ACA successfully hosted the seminar on “Growing Importance of City Design for Urban India” by the eminent academics of the University of Illinois, Chicago, Associate Professor Sanjeev Vidyarthi and Professor Zorica Nedovic-Budic. The seminar was a very informative one that took the reference of the historical development of the city of Chicago and drew parallels with many of the issues faced by the mega cities of the developing world, and particularly those of India, such as Mumbai. The speakers also shed light on some of the perceived challenges that the city of Mumbai faces in the current context and the immense opportunities that are concealed within these challenges. The session concluded with an interactive question and answer session and was later followed by a short interview of the guest speakers taken by the students of Aditya College of Architecture.
