The facilitators of this course, Ar. Sajida Shahnum, is an Assistant Professor at USAP, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). She is also the co-founder of Ecospatial Lab and an Environmental Consultant at IDE, Dubai. The seminar provided an essential introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), exploring tools to capture, manage, analyse, and display spatial or geographic data. The participants were exposed to fundamental principles of GIS, including data types (such as vector and raster), coordinate systems, and data sources (like satellite imagery and GPS data).
