Speaker: Ar. Mrudula M Mane
The facilitator Ar. Mrudula is a conservation architect and PhD fellow at the Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC), CRDF, CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India. The speaker highlighted that the shift from analogue to digital documentation techniques is changing our ways of engaging, investigating, and visualising built and unbuilt spaces. Technological advancements in the last decade have made it possible to engage with various spaces like never before. The lecture will focus on the commonly available advanced digital techniques, such as 3D LiDAR Scanning, Photogrammetry, and GIS, for recording and analysing the built spaces and their context. The speaker will present her explorations of these techniques for documenting cultural heritage in her ongoing PhD research and the research projects undertaken by the Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC), CRDF, at CEPT University.
